The Bakery
A Piece of Cake opened in August 2008, the first truly "fancy cake" bakery in Carteret County. Owner Tracy McNemar and her permanent staff and apprentices are very talented bakers. The custom fondant work is arguably the best in this area.
This is where you get the heavy, moist cakes with that home-made taste and delicious buttercream, cream cheese or other specialty frostings with a professional look. The Italian Cream Cake, chock full of pecans and coconut, is to die for!
Each and every dessert is baked and decorated on site: cakes, frostings, pies, brownies, cheesecakes, mini loafs, muffins, candies. This bakery is truly dedicated to beautiful, and great tasting, desserts.
